Proform Elliptical
I have a ProForm Elliptical Machine, how do I adjust the stride length?
It is a model XP110, adjustable stride machine. Please help, I am much too short for the current factory setting! Thanks in advance!
Look on the pedals....there should be a knob on each one. Turn the knob until it loosens, then push/pull the pedal until you've got it where you want it.

I have tried a lot of different work out equipment in my day but, I have found that the two best pieces of equipment you can have is an elliptical and a treadmill. For me though, personally, I enjoy my elliptical because they are less mundane. Just the same, I own one of each because they are both good for different parts of your body, and they both do different things. Treadmills are great for running and walking on. In most cases older people or people that have problems with their knees are told by their Doctors to get a treadmill instead of actually walking or jogging on asphalt. Treadmills are like shocks to your knees, they help stabilize your knees, and are a lot softer to walk on than say, the sidewalk or road. Treadmills can help strengthen your knees, and they also give you a really great cardio work out. An elliptical on the other hand also do the same thing, but they also really get your heart pumping and work as a great aerobic exercise as well.
One of the main problems with exercise equipment is that they are expensive. But you can fix this by shopping directly at the factory, another great thing about shopping direct is you usually don't have to pay for shipping like you would at other stores. For example, the ProForm 850 SpaceSaver Elliptical at its website is $499 and free shipping. But at some place like SportsAuthority you would have to pay an extra 4100 just for shipping charges alone. I don't know about you, but I would rather not pay for shipping! Or how about the NordicTrack C2155. You can buy this directly on the website for $599 plus free shipping and handling, but if you buy it on say Sears, you can expect to pay $999!
